Tisha Butler is a compassionate and purpose-driven Peer and Parent Specialist, advocate, and Resilience & Empowerment Specialist whose work is rooted in resilience, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others. A proud Chicago native and Madison, Wisconsin resident since 2012, Tisha rebuilt her life and career as a single mother in a new city without family support—an experience that fuels her passion for helping others navigate their own paths toward healing and stability.
With a professional background spanning healthcare, crisis support, and public service, Tisha has supported individuals and families facing complex challenges, including mental health conditions, substance use, homelessness, and domestic violence. Her ability to connect authentically comes from a powerful combination of professional training and lived experience.
Tisha is a Certified Community Health Worker, Certified Peer Specialist, and Certified Parent Peer Specialist. She is also a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison Odyssey Project and the United Way of Dane County Broadwalk Academy. Her work is grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, and a strengths-based approach that empowers individuals and families to overcome barriers and build sustainable, fulfilling lives.
