Individualized Skill Development
Overview of ISDE Services at Sondercove Wellness
We view ISDE as a bridge between therapeutic insight and practical application. It’s where recovery takes shape in daily routines, personal choices, and long-term goals. Our ISDE services are peer-informed, trauma-responsive, and centered around the unique vision each person has for their life. We do not assume what skills someone "should" have—instead, we explore what they want to strengthen, learn, or reclaim.
How Services Are Typically Provided
ISDE services are offered in-home, in the community, virtually, or wherever the learning makes sense. Whether practicing how to grocery shop on a budget, preparing for a job interview, or walking through emotional regulation strategies in real time, we meet participants in the moments that matter. Our team includes staff with lived experience, cultural knowledge, and practical tools to support meaningful growth in a non-judgmental, real-life way.

We work alongside individuals—not above them—to create sustainable systems that align with their goals, values, and recovery journeys. Whether someone is working toward independent living, navigating life after incarceration, preparing for parenthood, or stabilizing while in substance use recovery, ISDE provides the space to build confidence, capability, and control over their environment.
Rooted in Dignity and Choice
Our approach respects the brilliance and survival strategies of those we serve. We never reduce individuals to a set of deficits. Instead, we see ISDE as a space to nurture strengths, experiment with new routines, and support people in naming what works for them. Every skill learned or practiced is a step toward autonomy—and we’re honored to support that process.
