Asha Johnson
Asha Symone is a Service Facilitator with Sondercove Wellness, supporting families enrolled in Dane County Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) as they navigate complex systems, including special education, mental health, and community-based supports. With a Master’s degree in Special Education and certification as an Autism Specialist, Asha brings a strong foundation in individualized, strengths-based care that centers both the youth and the family.
Asha’s work is rooted in ensuring that support is not only identified in plans, but meaningfully integrated into everyday life. She partners closely with families, providers, and school teams to translate strategies into real-life practice—so skills are not confined to documents like IEPs or recovery plans, but show up at home, in school, and across daily routines. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, consistency, and practical application, aligning with CCS values of person-centered, community-based care.
Drawing from her extensive background across K-12 special education, youth development, and community programming, Asha has led multidisciplinary teams, supported program operations, and built inclusive environments that foster academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Her experience includes coordinating student support services, developing intervention strategies, and partnering with families to strengthen engagement and access to resources.
Within CCS, Asha focuses on service coordination, team collaboration, and ensuring continuity of care across providers. She works to make systems more accessible and understandable for families, while honoring their lived experiences and expertise. Her work reflects a commitment to equitable, culturally responsive support that meets families where they are and builds on their existing strengths.
Asha’s practice is grounded in a human-centered approach, with a deep belief that meaningful change happens when families feel supported, understood, and equipped with tools that are both realistic and sustainable.
